MELBOURNE!!

Sorry for not updating! I don't have internet in my apartment! :(

I'M IN MELBOURNE. Gonna start college this Monday. Taylors college foundation studies. :)

So many Asians here. I actually bumped into my old classmate from 4SC2 (Sri Garden) on my first day here. I saw him in a Vietnamese restaurant!! What a small world. I waved at him but I didn't get to talk to him coz he was with his friends and I FORGOT HIS NAME. But now I remember lolz. Sorry Mun Hong!

A few days ago, I went to see my own apartment and it kinda sarks that I don't have my own BATHROOM and KITCHEN. My parents are paying about AU $ 399 (RM 1200/QR1200) per week including meals! So blardie expensive. It's closer to my college though.

I'll upload the pics as soon as I get my hard drive and internet.

Good day, mate!

Goodbye, Qatar

I'M SO TIRED! I had to load and unload the car 2 times coz we needed to store our stuff at our aunt's place. I think I can just fall asleep right now.

My flight's in 6 hours. I'm pretty excited. The fact that I'm leaving Qatar for good is just unbelievable. Two years have gone by fast...

Luckily Qatar Airways allows 30 kg per person, unlike the other airlines that only allow 20 kg. My total weight is 36 kg (I am moving okay???) and I will need to give some stuff away in KL coz my flight from KL to Melbourne only allows 20 kg. Need to get rid of 16 kg. RIGHT.

I have to admit that I was very reluctant to come to Qatar when I was still living in Malaysia. I've lived there my whole life and have become so attached to my own network of family and friends. But only when I came here... I realized that I've been so close minded and selfish this whole time. I never really cared about what happened outside of Malaysia because I was just stuck in my own little world. Only when you come out and explore, you start to realize that the world isn't just about you, but it's about other people as well. People of different culture, race, and religion all combined.

There were times when it was difficult. Adapting to a whole new life, to the weather, and to a set of new friends. But the weird yet funny thing is: we all come here for the same reason, to live in this strange country we've never heard of before. I have had the greatest memories here... especially meeting many incredible people.

Thank you for the great memories that I will forever cherish :)

Packing #2

This is before my 99.99% done with packing XD.

So I had to really look through all my stuff...

Starting with my beautiful dresses!!

It kinda sarks that I'm only allowed 20 kg from KL to Melbourne. So I can't take all my dresses. Have to leave my beautiful blue one behind coz it's kinda heavy :(

My mum got me a Playboy Bunny and French Maid kit that I WILL NEVER USE coz it is very kinky. I told her that and she thinks its cute LOLZ

OMIGOSH my drawing folder! I have not seen this for ages!
I am now gonna post a lot of my drawings that I've accumulated (I actually have 200++ of them) since I was 10 years old. I might throw them away one day so putting them here is not a bad idea!

For Samurai X fans, you might recognize Misao. I can't remember the story but she's a friend of Kenshin. I drew this when I was 12.

AAAHH from Chobits! I never watched it but I saw this online so I drew it out and painted it :)

Goku from Gensomaiden Saiyuki and Haru from Rave. They used to be my favourites!

Random Santagirl
I used to be addicted to Ranma 1/2 but I stopped halfway. I don't even know whether they got married in the end but they probably did :)

OH?... Another folder full of my drawings when I was a 12-year-old.

RAVE!

Inspired by Willian Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream"

My Grade 5 theory. I had a very mean MEAAAAN teacher who kept cursing God for making me so damn stupid and who wanted to strangle me. Yup, great times.

ANGEL :)

Inspired by Anya Hindmarch's "I'm Not A Plastic Bag"

Ragnarok! I used to be hooked on that game until someone used me to level up. I was so sick that I just had to quit!

Supposed to be me and my sista :D

This is something I drew when I was 10. "The coolest of them all. She's just cool" lolz

(sorry for the vertical picture. blogger is being stubborn today) My sista drew this for me!

Jessica and I when we were young :D I used to have a lazy eye haha

My messy drawer!

My clean drawer!

A few months ago I received a letter from GYLC (Global Young Leader's Conference). It's supposed to be a really big thing because only a few people get selected to go. So happened that I was one of the selected ones. And stupid enough not to go XD.

But it was expensive and I wanted to have fun during MY summer (which I did :P)

A young and hot version of Hugh Hefner :P
It's kinda sad that I grew out of Japanese Anime and drawing. I really did enjoy drawing but I stopped completely when I moved to Doha. My Mum was so sick of me wasting paper and me wasting my time instead of studying that I decided to quit. I haven't drawn for more than a year and some people are mad coz I didn't continue some of the comics I made :P sorry! If I still really loved to draw, I would've wanted to pursue a degree in Arts, but of course I would OBVIOUSLY be an embarrassment to the family. So I would pursue what everyone in my family did (except for my Mum who did Biochemistry): Engineering.
Anyway back to packing....

Got this from the Nile Cruise in Egypt.

It is the longest river in the whole wide world! You can see how long the map is.

My Harry Potter!!!

My sister got this for me a loooong time ago. It was SOOO PRECIOUS that I did not even use ANYTHING in it. I did not use any paper, envelope or the stamp and pencils that were provided. I just saved it all up until now... which is kinda wasted coz I'm gonna pass it down to my little cousin who would use it more than I ever did.
My Dad is so neat! Somehow engineers' minds work the same way: keep what you need and throw what you don't need. That's my Dad's moto. By one day, he was already done with his packing! It is pretty unbelievable! He also said something that is so true: do not be so emotionally attached to your things because it will only burden you. Your whole life you will carry the baggage that you don't need... Unfortunately, true!

packed, sealed and yet to be delivered

I'm 99.99% done with packing. The house is in a mess.

My room is so empty now. I feel so sad :( It's really starting to hit me... That I'm actually gonna leave for good to live on my own.

In just a few weeks, I'll be in Melbourne... Being a newbie all over again. Sometimes it's kinda exciting and sometimes it's kinda depressing. I remember I had to go through 3 months of depression when I first came here, mainly because it is a depressing place. And it's worst when you don't have good friends you can click with. I only started liking my school when Rin came, which was 6 months later. I'm not racist or biased or anything, but I have to admit: Asians click better with asians :)

I think I will make friends in Melbourne. I'm sure many of them are like me too: new to the place... and kinda nervous too. My parents actually talked about getting my bank account, I don't know if I'm happy or not. The thought of handling your parents' money is scary. Every penny I spend will be notified to my Dad's bank account and then they'll call me to check up on what I've just bought. I shouldn't be so paranoid!

I threw a lot of my stuff away... including my AP Student Pack. During the AP exams, you will receive a booklet of codes that you will stick on each of your AP exam papers. What I didn't know was that you HAVE to keep that booklet to know your AP final score. They are supposed to post it by mail, and by mid-July I should've received it. But maybe they got the address wrong (remember that Arabs used to be nomads, so there aren't proper addresses over here!). Unfortunately, they also send it to the school and my parents are going there tomorrow to find out. GULPS I'M SO SCARED!

I've been packing since morning and I really need some sleep. So good night :)

Packing #1

For some of you who don't know, I'm not only packing for Melbourne but I'm also packing because we're moving to another apartment.

So this means I have more to pack and more stuff to throw away!

I've always hated the idea of moving. Putting all your valuable items in boxes and boxes and then taking them out again. It can be really difficult.

Here's my luggage! lolz bras and panties :P

Messy...

Messier!...

I never noticed how much stuff I have. All the folders and files of my precious hard work would have to be disposed :( I think that's the worst part. When you put so much effort in your homework and projects and end up throwing them away!

My books :) Don't think I'm gonna bring any with me.

My painting. Copied this from a photograph from a salon mag

Not finished yet.

Look at that sakai punya girl! What the hell was I thinking wearing that UGLY I LOVE ICE-CREAM T-SHIRT on our yearbook picture day?!?! OHH MAH GOSH.

Signatures on yearbook! It would've been better if it was just plain white :( (the background I mean)

Rin's special page! :D :D

I LOVE U SARAH :D

NOOOOO how can I ever think of tossing my ever-so reliable AP CHEMISTRY review book!! I'm bringing it with me :D

I used to be so crazy about HARRY POTTER that I created my own HARRY POTTER FILE!

where I kept loads and loads of newspaper cuttings!!! (dated 2003-04)

Daniel Radcliffe used to be so ADORABLE AND CUTE! My aunt got this for me in the UK when he was doing autographs but my aunt couldn't afford one coz it was 200 pounds!

This was my bio project. I had 5 pages of it all painted and re-drawn with black pen. It took me 5 hours everyday per week! I'm NOT gonna get rid of this!

Comic for U.S history
My pink dustbin :D

Look at how much paper I've accumulated! And it sarks coz Qatar is not eco-friendly and does not even recognize what "recycle" is. So I am forced not to recycle! How to become an environmentalist now? :(

Kimmee calls this "the man sitting on a toilet bowl doing a poop and reading a book" HAHA

I went through some photos we took when we were in the US. This was taken right in front of the Chinese Theatre in Hollywood!(2001)

With Michael Jackson's star! His legacy will live on forever :D

Mickey Mouse and Jiejie at Disneyland, L.A.

So finally, got half of my stuff sorted out... half more to go

Tidy bed at last :D

I just found out that I'm allergic to my moisturizer from Boots and I have rashes all over my face! I think I'll stick to Neutrogena :)

P.S HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHO SUZUKI A.K.A SUKI! You are now legal to do whatever you like, except stealing coz that's considered a crime :) Have a great one!
